Prison Administrationverstrekt met de volgende informatie:
Enhanced video surveillance: video cameras are located in shader spaces, movement areas and other strategic locations, ensuring continuous monitoring of the situation and the possibility to identify aggressive or suspicious behaviour in an operational manner.
Regular overnight monitoring: officials regularly carry out cell inspections, patrol residential and communal premises and accompany prisoners to daily activities. Such presence significantly reduces the chances of violence developing unnoticed.
Commissions for placement of prisoners: placement of prisoners takes place by assessing safety, health and crime prevention criteria, thus preventing potential conflicts.
Response to endangerment: if a risk of violence of other endangerment is detected, the prisoner shall be immediately transferred to another room, unit or prison; isolation from sources of endangerment is ensured and monitoring is intensified.
Staff training: prison staff are trained to recognise crisis situations and act promptly in compliance with human rights and security standards.
Renovation of premises and reduction of cell load: during renovation, living conditions are improved, the number of prisoners in one cell is reduced, which reduces tension, the risk of violence and the formation of the informal hierarchy.
Expanding communication opportunities: prisoners shall be provided with the possibility to address officials at any time by means of call buttons, call-in system or direct communication enabling the rapid reporting of threats.”
