(…) Unfortunately, you haven’t replied to any of my messages in the last weeks requesting status of your business around inbound or outbound. I’ve tried emails and whatsapp, but nothing from your side.
Hereby we confirm the receipt of your letter, stating that Mechanix will not continue with the contract it has with DSV that end August 2021. We will continue to service Mechanix as logistics partner till the end of the contract and we expect that Mechanix will use DSV 100% for its warehousing processes as per contract. However, we have seen no activity form Mechanix the last couple of weeks, which is not reflecting historical volume processed (even taken Covid-19 impact along). In the last couple of weeks, you have had several discussions with (…) and myself on volume changes and we even asked if Mechanix is pulling away business. Mechanix answered no and the last questions via Whatsapp and Voicemail were never answered.
(…) Thank you very much for your email below and your continued support. We look forward to continuing to work with you in the early parts of 2021 and we confirm that Mechanix Wear will continue to adhere to the terms and conditions of its agreement with DSV, as it has always done from the beginning of the term of the agreement. (…) Thanks for your e-mail. And yes of course we will support Mechanix, however we have analysed the last 2 years of data and as of September/October timeframe your business has completely stopped with DSV and this is not reflecting reality. Even not in Covid/Corona times, your current shipment profile inboud or outbound are just not adding up.
(…) In your email dated December 22, 2020, you subsequently confirmed to DSV that Mechanix would continue to comply with the contract. Nevertheless, we did not receive any inbound shipments afterwards. Despite the situation the world finds itself in today, we could not believe that the inbound flow had completely dried up. Recently is became clear that our feeling was justified when it appeared that Mechanix has appointed Seabourne in Eindhoven as our successor.
