This letter serves to inform you that your labor agreement is terminated as per immediately due to the following urgent reasons:
On April 11, 2017, an audit was performed on your bank. Your bank was short US$ 99.73. When you were informed through the audit sheet left by Accounting in your bank on April 11, 2017, you told your manager that this could not be correct, since you had counted your bank on April 10, 2017, just before the end of your shift, and it amounted to US$ 5000.27. The LP-department was then asked to review the video footage of the safety deposit room. You were suspended with pay pending our investigation into this matter on April 12, 2017 after the F&B Manager, [naam A], has reviewed the camera footage together with the LP Manager, [naam B].
On the video footage, you are seen on April 10, 2017, before the end of your shift, taking several bills from your bank and taking this money with you. Furthermore, contrary to your statement, you are not seen counting your bank before the end of your shift.
You were once again heard on April 13, 2017 in the presence of our Human Resources Directors and F&B Manager [naam A]. According to you, you had received a total amount of US$ 20,-- from your colleagues who had shared their tips with you (US$ 10,-- from one colleague, US$ 6,-- from another colleague and US$ 4,-- from another colleague), and you had changed this amount into one US$ 20,-- bill from your bank. This time you told us you had not counted your bank, but had only counted your due backs.
After this meeting, we once again reviewed the video footage in question and met with you once again on April 18, 2017. Present during this meeting were our Human Resources Directors and F&B Manager [naam C]. We informed you that the video footage shows that you had taken more than one bill from your bank. You however insisted that you had only taken one US$ 20,-- with you, being the amount that your colleagues had shared with you and that you had changed in your bank for one US$ 20,-- bill.
On April 19, 2017, we once again met with you and showed you the video footage, which clearly shows you taking more than one bill with you. This time, you told us that you had taken one US$ 20,-- bill, and one US$ 1,-- bill that you already had with you. This contradicts your previous statements given to us. Furthermore, the video footage shows that you had taken more than two bills with you from your bank and from the safety deposit room.
We have concluded our investigation and have established that your actions and behavior as described above are considered a serious breach of the obligations arising out of your labor agreement, where you are seen taking money from your bank with you, after which a shortage was established in your bank during an audit. Your cashier banking contract clearly states that your bank is only to be used for hotel purposes that hotel funds should never be transferred to anyone Without Director of Finance's authorization -and-that personal use of your bank will result in termination.
Your actions of April 10, 2017, as described above, each individually as well as jointly, have caused the Company to lose all trust in you and, each individually as well as jointly, constitute an urgent reason for the immediate termination of your labor agreement as per today, April 20, 2017.
